We bet you never imagined that curbside veterinary care would be a reality. As the COVID-19 epidemic continues, we remain committed to providing pets with the best care they can receive. This includes our curbside pick-up and drop-off of your beloved pet for essential veterinary care.
How Does Curbside Pick-Up Help During COVID-19?
While we would love to visit and see your smiling face in the comfort of our reception area and exam rooms, it’s just not the best way to keep you, our staff, and pets safe from COVID-19.
Congregating in the reception room increases the amount of time in close proximity with others. And while we ask that those who are experiencing any possible symptoms of COVID-19 stay home, the CDC has not come to any final conclusions about the incumbency period and the possibility of infection after recovery. So, it’s better for everyone to safely wait in their vehicles.
As we know so well by now, limited exposure is the best way to keep everyone safe.
How Does Curbside Care Work?
We ask that you give us a phone call after you arrive at our facility and safely park. At that time, we will discuss your pet’s symptoms and services needed if we did not get that information while scheduling your appointment. Please feel free to ask any questions you may have during this call, as well.
We will then come out to pick up your pet. When we collect your pet, we try to maintain as much possible distance from pet owners as possible. To help with this process, please have your cats and other small animals crated, ready for pick-up. We also appreciate it when you can coordinate with us over the phone upon arrival to make the hand-off as smooth as possible.
Your pet will receive the same thorough and considerate care in a sterile exam room. We will call you to explain the examination findings and answer any questions you may have. Then our reception team will collect payment over the phone and return your pet safely to your car.
After your pet has been cared for, we will bring him or her back out to your car.
Your Pet’s Prescriptions
In addition to curbside appointments, we can also arrange to deliver your pet’s prescription medications and food to your car. If you rather have them delivered to your door, please check out our online store.
