It's that time of year when dogs and their humans need a dose of fresh air and adventure. Even though it's snowing, there are still plenty of new places to explore in our beautiful city and surrounding area. If you're looking to stretch your legs and get your dog's heart racing, try one of these great places to let loose this winter.
1. Bring Your Pup in for Grooming

We will also blow dry your pup, so they won't be bothered by going out in cold Shoreview, MN winter weather.

2. Vadnais Snail Lakes Regional Park
This lovely park is a great place to revel in the striking view of Vadnais Lake. It truly is one of the most breathtaking winter scenes you will find in our area. With a trail between two lake sections, your dog will stay on the straight-and-narrow. Just be sure to bundle up since the breeze off the lake can be quite biting this time of year.
3. Red Ginger China Bistro
Take your dog on a date and enjoy a hot meal at this Shoreview mainstay. They have several dog-friendly tables and will gladly bring your pup a cool drink. Don't expect your dog to pick up using chopsticks, though.
4. The Bike Park
Bike Park, just north of us in Lino Lakes is an excellent spot to explore during the winter. Right off of Rice Lake, you will find two to three miles of paved trails. While this park is a great place to bike during other seasons, you can anticipate having the whole trail to yourself during the winter. This means your dog can just enjoy being a dog while you enjoy the wintery view of Rice Lake.
